I gotta admit. Sometimes I get a bit jealous of the neighbourhoods around the St-Laurent and St-Denis streets, cause they’re always the ones to have the really nice new cafes. And considering how it was this summer, it feels like there’s a new cafe popping up every month in that area. Noble café is one of them that opened just a few months ago. Despite it being a bit small, offering seats only outside, I can understand why it quickly gained popularity. This isn’t the kind of cafe where you isolate yourself with electronics in the hopes of getting some work or studying done. To me, it feels more like a cafe for hangouts with friends or relaxing with a book. Or even better, enjoying an ice cream during a hot summer day. Which they also offer along with their caffeinated drinks. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t get the chance to enjoy it before the summer season ended. But there’s always next year.

After walking by this bakery cafe on St-Laurent multiple times, Lena and I finally decided to try it out. On a sunday morning during busy brunch. It was a bit crowded and we didn’t get to enjoy our drinks from the seats we wanted (my photography is all about angles… and not getting in people’s faces). But that’s alright, cause I’ll definitely stop by again for a quick coffee or tea. And to get a shot of their famous green neon sign which I missed.

If you’re surprised I’m posting photos of another coffee shop, you really shouldn’t. Cause ever since coming back from Europe, that’s all Lena and I have been up to this summer. So today it’s Moustache Café. It’s warm and inviting with it’s wall of colourful dishware and a long communal table in the middle of the for people to share. I also enjoyed that they were playing a Jackie Chan movie on the TV. But what I liked the most, which is completely unrelated to coffee, was seeing the café’s bernese mountain dog walk around and entertain the kids.
